Car listings: specifications, VIN and inspection questions
Accurate details help buyers find a suitable car. Photos and descriptions are a starting point; buyers also need to inspect the vehicle and its documents before a transaction.
Updated:
Enter accurate specifications
Select the make and model, then state the year, mileage, engine, fuel, transmission, body and colour. Check documents instead of relying on appearance or an automatic guess.
Compare the VIN with the documents and vehicle
The SEVO passenger-car form includes a VIN field. Check its characters before publishing. Buyers should compare the listed VIN with the vehicle and documents; the number alone does not establish history or ownership.
State actual equipment and known defects
Select equipment that is actually present. Describe condition, recent work and known damage. Add exterior, interior, dashboard and defect photos. Video can supplement the description.
Prepare inspection questions
Ask about servicing, accidents, mileage evidence and documents. Compare facts with the listing during inspection and consider an independent technical check where needed. Do not decide on a photograph alone.
Use official information sources
In Latvia, check vehicle services and available information on the official CSDD website. The scope and availability of data can vary. SEVO does not guarantee a car’s history or technical condition.
