SEVO · Guides for buyers and sellers
Safer communication with buyers and sellers
No classifieds website can guarantee the outcome of every transaction. Keep a clear agreement, check the item and do not let urgency replace verification.
Updated:
Discuss the actual item
Use SEVO chat to ask about condition, accessories, inspection and collection. You do not need to connect social media accounts. Participant access to a conversation does not insure or guarantee a transaction.
Check that the information agrees
Compare the description, photos, price and answers. Ask for an additional photo or video of a specific detail if uncertain. For a company offer, check the name and published business details.
Do not enter banking credentials through unsolicited links
An offer to receive money through a courier page that asks for card details or banking codes is a reason to stop. Open your bank independently and check the actual link domain. Never share passwords or verification codes in chat.
Agree on inspection and collection
Before paying, establish what you will receive and when. Inspect and test the item where possible. A transfer screenshot does not prove that money has arrived; check your own account.
Report suspicious listings
Use the listing report option or contact SEVO support. Keep the conversation and necessary evidence. If you have suffered a loss or suspect a crime, contact your bank and the appropriate authorities.
Specialists and bookings
Before work or an advance payment, agree in writing on the provider, scope, materials, final price, deadlines and payment terms. Request a justified invoice and check the recipient before a large advance. A completion mark or agreed price in SEVO does not process payment or guarantee quality.
Where to turn
Report suspicious content using SEVO support. Contact your bank and the police immediately if you suspect fraud, and keep the listing link, payment record and conversation. For a consumer dispute with a trader, first send the trader a written complaint, then contact PTAC. Disputes between private individuals generally follow civil-law procedures.
